Infigo teams up with Stripe, as print businesses see increased demand for digital payments

Infigo joins forces with online payments giant Stripe, as the print industry moves increasingly towards a digital payments and e-commerce model. With a dedicated plugin, Infigo’s customers will now be able to offer a range of digital and online payment options.

As well as taking standard credit and debit card payments, Infigo users will also be able to offer Apple and Google pay, through Stripe’s API. The plugin provides an embeddable, secure payment gateway that integrates with storefronts or client portals, created on the Infigo platform.

Take Payment from 46 countries

With the Stripe integration, Infigo’s users will be able to take payment from up to 46 countries. As well as providing greater payment choice, digital payment options have shown to reduce abandoned e-commerce charts at checkout.

With e-commerce sales, across all sectors, increasing by 24.1% between 2019 and 2020, online transactions rose to $4.29 (£3.16) trillion . It’s estimated that 2.14 billion transactions took place online in 2021 . However data shows that abandoned carts stand at an average of 69.8%.

According to research by the Baymard Institute:

• 18% of online shoppers abandon their carts because of a long and complicated checkout process
• 17% don’t trust the site with their card information
• 7% say retailers don’t offer enough payment methods

All factors that can be mitigated through the Stripe plugin.

“Growing demand”

Greg Young, Head of Customer Success for Infigo, said there had been growing demand from Infigo’s customers for an Integration with Stripe, as a result of the pandemic.

He said: “We have seen a number of customers grow their e-commerce side of the business during the pandemic. The result of this is that they are receiving orders from parts of the world they hadn’t before.

“Our other payment plugins are limited to specific regions – for example, only UK Customers can use Opayo (formerly Sagepay) and only US customers can use Authorize.net. Now we have integrated with Stripe it’ll help our clients to grow in completely new territories and give their customers confidence that the transaction is secure and a lot easier to complete.”

Douglas Gibson, CEO of Infigo, said: “The industry is probably sick of hearing us say this but we used the early part of lockdown to really engage with our customers and learn how we could improve the platform. This is why we’re rolling out a range of new functionality and integrations that will help our customers grow.

“We are delighted to launch this first stage of our collaboration with Stripe with additional features being made available, through the payment provider, in the coming months. Watch this space!”
